Bread and pies are the major bakery products and the most in demanded products all over the world. The bakery industry is one of the fastest growing industries in East Africa. No doubt that bakery products are becoming a prime food for East Africans. There is a raising consumption of bakery products due to the emergence of middle-class urbanization and the expansion of modern habit and health conscious.

The East Africa Bakery and Pasty Expo was a strategic platform that aimed in benefiting the baking, catering and confectionery business. The expo was successfully held and had a transformative power in shaping perceptions, cultures and increased awareness of the participants by enhancing the industry image and reputation.
